I'd like to open this week's discussion with a topic that has been in the news recently. You may have seen some references to it on the news in the past week or so. There have been two recent incidents of mothers dumping their babies here in Australia. One newborn was found safe and healthy and has now been placed in a caring foster home. The other baby was not so fortunate. It was found in a handbag at a recycle station. It had been dead for approximately seven days by the time it was discovered. These two events have disturbed many people and as a result there has been a lot of discussion in the media about it.

I think this is one of the biggest problems we must think about on a global scale. To be honest, I think no one should give birth to an unwanted baby. It makes both the mother and the baby very unhappy, and because they are unhappy, the mother might abundant her baby. However, I don’t think the mother should terminate as well. Personally, I want her to bring up her baby even if she does not want the baby at all. Although sometimes it is impossible, I hope they don’t choose abortion until they realize that they won’t be able to raise their children without doubt.
The solutions I could think of are only two things. One is to set up services to support mothers who have unwanted babies, but I think this is not effective in reducing their stress. The other is to give students sex education in order to avoid getting pregnant by using contraception, because it is very difficult to make a law to force children not to have sex. I think the most important thing is not to think about solutions after unwanted babies was born, but not to increase the number of unwanted babies any more.

Susie has made a good point. She has given us many issues to think about. Sometimes such horrible things happen to awaking people. It is a signal that our systems need more updating.
It is unthinkable that a mother has to throw her child away. A mother is supposed to loves her child like no other can. When a mother is hading to such situation, she must be very desperate. Now we all confronting with this issue, we may not ignore it. All of us have to action to reduce such events.
For started, the Government and educational institution have to pay more attention to this. A possible way to do this is having the Government giving more money to hospitals en education institutions. Hospitals will then be able to put hatches, preventing babies throwing away. Beside this, with the money schools will be able to gain professional teachers for teaching school children about sex.
On a whole, I do agree with Susie. As grown ups we need to be there for babies. Babies are not able to take care of there selves.
It is incredible that the biological parent throw babies away. If they don’t want to their baby, they must act right absolutely. I remember that my mother said that recent young people don’t think the life is not so precious. The life is not toy. If you get pregnant, you should abort, don’t dump! The biological parent should imagine the child’s feeling when the child know the truth that they ware born without love. The child will continue to worry about themselves forever. For losing like act, I think that people should contraception and we should think about the life in this time afresh.

I can't pardon them who dumped thir babies. Once a woman bearing a child, the woman has to be rasponsible for the child,I thought. If she doesn't have confidence in bringing-up at all from various reson such as poverty and circumstance,she should terminate her child. Firstly She must respect her child's happiness and decide with enough considering. A human's life is precious. No one may desert a life.
